Civil Legal Aid for Survivors Virtual CLE - November 8

Please join us for a one-hour Virtual LUNCH & LEARN on November 8th at Noon in honor of National Pro Bono month. Beth Robinson-Kinney, Managing Attorney of Legal Aid Society’s Safety and Family Stability Department, will present life-saving legal training to prepare volunteer attorneys to represent domestic violence victims in court. The Legal Aid Society will offer crucial training to attorneys to represent victims of domestic violence in court. Participants will receive CLE credits for this training.

1 in 4 Kentucky women and 1 in 6 Kentucky men experience domestic violence.  Preventing and reducing domestic violence is a national social priority. Domestic Violence Orders orders (POs) have been the primary legal response to domestic violence for several decades and are incredibly successful in keeping individuals and families safe.  Legal Aid Society serves over 600 survivors annually, but with more than 16,000 emergency protective orders filed annually in our Commonwealth, we know there is more work to do!

VOLUNTEERS HELP SAVE LIVES! Join us for our FREE CLE to help keep Kentuckians safe and empower survivors!
